Magdalena and Marcin - September 23, 2006

Magdalena ! You were truly a fun bride and a joy to photograph ! However, this wedding day was not about you ! Ugh ! How can you say such a thing to a bride ?! Well... I guess in case of Magdalena and Marcin you can - because if you have a groom like Marcin - a man of thousand faces - his bride is going to understand...

oh yes, a man of 1000 expressions he was:

One image from the ceremony:

..and one taken when the couple was leaving the church after their family session:

We have visited a familiar location for the bridal party and bride and groom session:

The venue was unusual, over 3000 white baloons were used for decorations:

Magdalena's reaction to one of the toast speeches:

It was also nice to see Ewelina and Dominik - the couple I had a pleasure to work with on their wedding day in July 2005:

A lot of credit and thanks goes to Jose Reyes for providing a fantastic second photographer's coverage for this wedding ! Madgalena & Marcin - thank you for an unusual experience and a day full of laughs !

Carly and Mike - September 22, 2006

With a bride like Carly photographer's job is easy - just point the camera, she looks happy because she's enjoying her day to the fullest and every minute of it ! ...and that's the way it should be ! Starting with the dress:

...and the shoes that I loved almost as much as the bride herself:

Carly:

With all her girls:

Fun in the limousine:

Catching a moment between Carly and her dad, seconds before walking the aisle...

The shot that I always want to show:

Lori and Jared - September 17, 2006

Early morning makeup mirror shot is what started the day on September 17, 2006:

When I arrived to the venue in NJ the groom was finishing his interview for the wedding video, so I used the moment to get a few portraits:

...before continuing with the bride. This is my favorite photograph of Lori:

Still before the ceremony, the time came for a bridal party session:

One photograph of getting the bride ready for the ceremony:

Not all kids at weddings want to be photographed, but that never stops me :o) and sometimes makes the photo look even more interesting, this one captured right before the ceremony:

Images like the one below are the essence of a wedding day for me. No matter how many times I've seen a similar scene before, I am always looking forward to this moment. Simply because there's some kind of magic in it:

The ring exchange:

Moving into the reception, the cake looked so good !

Lori dancing with her father:

One of the good-bye shots, trying to get the most out of the venue's beautiful interiors:

Lori & Jared ! Working with You was a pleasure ! Thank You for a great day !

Monika and Marek - September 16, 2006

When I arrived to Monika's house in New Jersey the bride was working with her make-up artist:

In a different part of the same house, Marek was getting ready in company of his Mother:

Although they were in the same house, thanks to good organization and planning the bride and groom did not see each other before the ceremony. Monika making sure the dress fits properly:

...and during the vows:

The ring bearer during ceremony was a great subject to photograph:

...joined in marriage:

Happiness, joy and lots of money for the newlyweds !

The bridal party's dresses played a game a color with the September skies over New Jersey:

The guys:

The color theme of Monika and Marek's day was nicely accentuated at the reception:

Two closing images from the dancefloor:

Monika and Marek - Thank You and Congratulations !

Tunisha and Kevin - September 10, 2006

Bride's getting ready time is a wonderful opportunity for the photographer to create images for the first few pages of the wedding album. Those images can set the mood and give a sence of anticipation:

...and right after them, when the bride is ready comes the time for a beautiful bridal portrait:

Sometimes all you need to make a photograph work is a local street in a residential area of Northern Jersey:

oh... of course a gorgeous looking bridal party helps !
Tunisha and her father on the way to the ceremony:

...and the flower girl, photographed inside the limousine:

Tunisha and Kevin, moments before saying their vows:

Married and happy, we are starting the couple's session:

Tunisha and Kevin were very rewarding and easy to photograph subjects:

with an impressive looking bridal party:

During the reception Violetta was capturing the fun on the dancefloor:

...and one of the closing images of the day:

Tunisha & Kevin - Congratulations and Thank You for letting us be a part of your wedding day !

Melissa and Elliott - September 3, 2006

Rain, rain, rain... said forecast for the weekend but after the storm of the century on Saturday I was hoping there was not much left up there for the Sunday. I was right ! From 'showers' and 60% chance of rain predictions on weather websites we moved to photographing the entire day in full sun ! Before I start showing all those sunny photos let's see one from the very beginning of the day. Early in the morning I started photographing Melissa getting ready:

The bridesmaids were creating good photography right along with me:

Before Melissa got into her dress she received a surprise wedding day gift from her soon to be husband. Elliott is an artist, too:

In the meantime, the guys were excersising walking in front of Jose's camera:

Morning light coming through the windows in the bride's house allowed me to create this portrait of the bride:

I love shooting in the full sun:

Melissa and Elliott were so happy together that we didn't have to try hard to get photographs like this one:

Taking the best advantage of the sun and the enviorment...

Did I mention they were one happy couple ?

When Melissa's father was leading her to the ceremony I heard somebody whisper right next to me "there's a butterfly on her flowers !". How great, it was not planned or arranged:

Captured during the ceremony:

When we feel strong, positive emotions it is important to be close to somebody you love:

Married:

There was a few minutes between the ceremony and the reception that I used to capture this natural portrait of the bride:

The rest of the day was filled with dancing, toasts, good food and quality band performances, here's one image from the first dance:

At this point I have to honor the Fathers. Their vigor and charisma on the dancefloor were unmatched:

Melissa, Eliott and their families, bridal party and guests - Thank You all for the wonderful day, making us feel very welcome and making it easy for us to create portfolio images !

Angela and Rob - September 2, 2006

Rain ! Rain ! Rain ! Yes, it was raining cats and dogs in Princeton, NJ on September 2nd... but who cares ! If you have a bride like Angela to photograph there's sunshine around you no matter how much rain falls from the sky ! From the first moment of the day Angela was nothing but joy to work with and so it stayed till the last minute on the dance floor. Image number one in Angela's set of proofs:

At this point it would be a crime not to mention Angela's mother Deanna:

who actually hired me for the job and made me feel like home during the entire day being the coolest Mother of the Bride ever ! Deanna - once again, Thank You for everything !

As it's easy to realize I started photographing Angela and Rob's wedding with the girls getting their hair done, there was a lot of things going on and to me it felt like working at the backstage of a beauty pageant:

the girls around me were not only all pretty but also fun to photograph:

including the flower girl, who was looking at the unfolding day in her own way:

I do not often show myself at work so here I am getting another smiley shot of the bride:

I was happy to have a wonderful team member for Angela and Rob's wedding. My talented friend Monika Broz agreed to join me and start the day with the groom and the boys, here's one of her images of a groomsman receiving his gift:

With their hair all done the ladies moved to the bride's house to finish up their make-up:

The time came for the bridal portraits, I used window light and a table lamp next to the wall in the background to create this image:

Angela actually did most of the work herself:

...I was just pressing the shutter release button on my camera without directing anything:

...and in a similar way I captured one of my definite favourite images of the day:

...moving around the house we were able to create more stunning shots:

even Deanna's cat was shocked, she refused to move away from the stairs that the bride was just about to use to come downstairs:

Angela and all her angels:

The credit for the next image - of the flower girl moments before the ceremony - goes to Deanna because she was the one who saw it and called me to record it:

A few minutes later Monika got this shot of the bride, right before she walked down the aisle:

Here comes the bride with her father:

The church did not allow to photograph the ceremony from up close:

So... Thank God for telephoto lenses:

Married couple happy even though the rain wouldn't stop:

...and the fierless photographers, who risked their equipment getting wet to get these images:

With the weather excluding any outside photo opportunities we used the beautiful church for the couple's session:

...and I was quite happy with what we were getting:

One image of the whole bridal party at the altar:

And one of the entire new family, created during the reception:

Angela & Rob - congratulations from the bottom of our hearts and Thank You for being splendid models !!! Deanna, Tim, Pat, Bob & the whole bridal party - Thank You for making us feel so welcome and turning a rainy day into photographer's heaven !
