Nina and Jozef - August 26, 2006

Photographing Nina and Jozef's wedding was like a rollercoaster ride ! It was fast-paced, fun and often with hands in the air:

No, I do not normally start wedding posts in this blog with an image from the middle of the day but in case of Nina's bridal party I am making an exception. Those girls deserve the #1 spot because their energy was undeniably inexhaustible ! Please, believe me when I say THIS WAS NOT MY IDEA:

after a straining excersise like that the girls still had enough energy to run with the rest of the bridal party:

since I started this wedding story from what happened in the park, here are the guys:

and one 'stolen moment' of the bride and groom on their way to their photo session in the park when they stopped to fix something under the dress:

Shall we go back to the beginning of the day for a moment ? Here's a portrait of the lovely bride:

'going to the chapel':

in the meantime, Jose was working with the guys:

and photographing the rings in a totally original enviorment:

The bride and her father walking down the aisle:

"I do":

Together as one now:

Congratulations, you're married !

Moving on to the reception, with Jose getting the 'big picture' from above...

...I knew I could concentrate on the couple during their first dance:

...and there was a lot of dancing throughout the rest of the evening:

one more happy moment captured during the reception:

I started this post with images from the park session so let me end it with one too, here's our fun to work with couple enjoying their day:

Thank You Nina and Jozef - all the best to you !

Stephanie and Tom - August 19, 2006

Imagine it is 3:30 pm on Saturday, August 19. I am TRYING to drive on I95 North. I was supposed to be meeting the bride and groom with their families this exact moment and my GPS system says I am still 30 minutes away from the destination. I cannot believe the traffic could be that bad... but it was. I left more than an hour early and I lost over 90 minutes in bumper-to-bumper struggle on the highway... what a nightmare... panic starts to settle in... when I finally arrive it's 4:10. Cocktail hour has already started. Thankfully, everybody is understanding and NOT MAD at me :o) so I can calm down a little and start photographing the amazing location:

...and the guests relaxing and enjoying the perfect weather:

The bride and groom during the toast delivered by Stephanie's father:

...and a few minutes later, during their first dance:

There were more speeches to come, one of them by the bride's sister:

Stephanie's reaction:

I was invited to provide the coverage of this wedding by the bride's mother, Susan:

...and here's the bride's father, cheers !

Even though I was delayed by the heaviest traffic, later during the party we found time to photograph a special session of the bride and groom:

Happy together, just enjoying the dream-like setting and their special time:

Here's the entire two families together, now as one big family:

Stephanie and Tom's wedding ceremony took place in December '05, now came the time to celebrate it with a reception and cutting not one but numerous CAKES that served as center pieces on the tables:

Oh yes, there was dancing too:

Stephanie and Tom - Congratulations and Thank You for a fabulous day in Connecticut !

Lori and Chris - August 12, 2006

Photographing a wedding inside a military base at West Point, NY was a new experience for me. Security check points delayed my arrival by 15 minutes ! Luckily when I finally found my way to the hair salon Lori was still waiting for her turn and later on I could get all the shots we needed, including this one:

With her hair done Lori moved to her bridal suite, where her dress was waiting:

While the bride was getting ready her soon to be mother in law was competing with me for the shot of the bride in the mirror ;o)

Last touch-ups of make-up by Lori's good friend Dulcinea:

...and an image that I really like:

Lori having fun with her long veil:

One more portrait of the bride:

The girls together:

In the meantime the guys were all ready to go, I managed to grab a few shots of them right before the ceremony:

The father is about to give the bride away:

The picturesque ceremony location:

Married:

...one more image, captured seconds after the one above:

Lori and Chris:

...and yet another image of the couple walking, this time back to the cocktail hour area from their session:

I absolutely loved this wedding cake:

Towards the end of the evening... the Thayer hotel at night:

Lori and Chris, congratulations ! Thank You for a fun and interesting day !

Anna and Tom - August 5, 2006

When your bride is dancing at the beginning of her wedding day - you know you're in for a good day of photography !

...and so it was with Anna & Tom for the whole day. The background for the above sequence of images was the wall in Anna's bedroom. When I was photographing Anna's getting ready session:

and getting a variety of portraits at her house:

...my friend, Jose Reyes was working with Tom:

and the groomsmen:

Having two photographers during the ceremony allowed us to capture the same moments from two different angles, like Tom saying 'I do':

and Anna's reaction to it:

or the kiss when they were walking down the aisle:

Anna & Tom picked an excellent location for stunning views of midtown Manhattan that created some unique photo opportunities:

We were tempted to use our fisheye lens more than once for ultra wide shots of THE BRIDAL PARTY. Tom & Anna were a joy to photograph and incredibly easy to work with:

They also gave us lots of time to capture the celebration of their wedding day, which always helps ! Thank You Anna and Tom ! We're looking forward to working on your album !
